Join TotalEnergies Renewables USA, LLC as a Construction Manager contractor supporting our JFK project in New York.



The Construction Manager is responsible for mobilizing and overseeing the construction phase of the project or program to ensure the project's success by adhering to quality, safety, and regulatory standards. The CM is responsible to ensure adherence to project drawings and specs, technical requirements, product and project quality standards, project schedule, 3-week look ahead, and project specific-corporate safety goals.



What You Will Bring:

BS Electrical Engineering or Construction Management Degree, or equivalent level of related experience preferred.
(8) years of related construction or project management or energy industry experience including three years supervisory management responsibilities.
Knowledge in new renewable/alternative energy power projects preferred.
Microsoft Office Skills at an intermediate level.
Ability to read and understand construction drawings.
Effective verbal and written communication skills.
Effective interpersonal skills and leadership abilities.
Effective analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills.
Project/Construction management skills; ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks and projects concurrently.
The ability to work effectively with people of different backgrounds.
Ability to operate a motor vehicle and possession of a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
Ability to travel with limited advance notice and to work flexible hours, including weekends, holidays and nights.

Activités
Enforce TotalEnergies Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) policy in all his/her responsibilities and ensure that external third parties (Subcontractors, consultants.) operate in a manner acceptable to TotalEnergies HSE standards.
Actively participate in the safety program and achieving safety goals of zero accidents.
Align on the project charter with customer at project kick off meeting.
Monitoring and compliance with project safety, quality and performance goals.
Organizing the integrated site team to supervise Contractor’s construction progress, quality of the works, including commissioning until COD (i.e. inspection witnessing, clearing punch list items, issuing mechanical completion certificates, turnover packages readiness).
Manage the construction process and implement the necessary procedures and tools to ensure compliance with TotalEnergies Safety Golden Rules.
Ensure work is on schedule per plan and scheduled activities start/ finish on time and achievement of all major milestones occurs per plan.
Site documentation management / Man-Hour compilation / schedule acceleration
Responsible to maintain continuous accountability of project historic data to include but not limited to; project work(s) completed, measured performance data/reports, installed components, etc.
Provide inspection of various disciplines (civil, mechanical, electrical) during construction, evaluating workmanship and compliance with construction contract documents. Site findings will be summarized and presented to project stakeholders.
Record construction progress via visual and written audit processes to ensure compliance with the Customer and Contract requirements.
Inspect project for compliance with Mechanical Completion, Substantial Completion, and Final Completion, COD acceptance milestones, as defined in contract documents.
Validate construction progress through review of EPC construction daily reports, photographs, and look ahead schedules.
Validate contractor work performed on a monthly basis to determine percent complete, schedule compliance, and acceptance of vendor billings.
Confirm site design documentation accurately reflects field changes (as-builts).
Provide technical input related to contract drawings and documents.
Lead daily and weekly contractor meetings.
Ensure compliance with all environmental laws, policies and regulations governing the work at the job site and on the project.
Advise in the field corrections to help expedite schedule, minimize costs and VE opportunities in alignment with Project PM.
Directly responsible for ensuring contractors performing work on site comply with all environmental and land use permit conditions.
Review environmental scope and audits construction activities.
Maintain project schedules and keeps management informed of any potential changes to the schedule.
Establishes and maintains effective work relationships within the community and stakeholders.
Performs additional responsibilities as requested or assigned.
