Job Description
Pick up and deliver messages, documents, packages, and other items between offices or departments within an establishment or directly to other business concerns , based on requests. conform safety and traffic regulations, in order to contribute to timely and safely arrival. Coordinates fleet management and ensures regular maintenance of bikes including information on motorbike insurances and taxes.
Motor bike operations, Safety and delivery of message
Have end responsibility for use of motorbike , clean and fuel , check inventory for safety equipment (e.g. helmate, etc.) and status of the motorbike, identify any damage and report these to supervisor, arrange and keep track of periodical service schedule and insurance
Securely delivers packages, documents, written and verbal messages, and other items to intended location or recipient in a timely manner
Maintain safety, health and environmental compliance that require an understanding of state and federal regulations relate to motor using permits
Driving
Drive passengers(if any) or deliver errands within the identified areas, following the traffic regulations, safety instructions and situations and based on the travel arrangements of the passengers and/or delivery requirements
ensure items get to the designated drop point quickly and in good condition.
Picking up and delivery of packages by representing SNV
Getting signatures from recipients upon delivery
Carefully planning travel routes to ensure safety and quick arrival
Technical Maintenance
Regularly check and maintain the main maintenance areas (e.g. oil, tire pressure etc.),
identify technical malfunctions, check potential repair alternatives, conduct repairs to the Motor bike and/or send for repair, in consultation with the supervisor in case of complex and/or costly repair
Administration
Keep logbook of all driving activities, fuel and any incidents and accidents.
Ensure insurances and taxes of motorbike are up to date.
Well inform on motor bike riding laws
Planning and Coordination
Plan transport, coordinate with drivers, contact suppliers and garages for maintenance and services,
ensure valid insurances documented for any request
valid driver license and renewal on time
Work closely with operation team
And any other task by line manager and their management
Additional activities
Execute activities to support others based on request, like assist in logistic activities, or support in maintenance of building.
Qualifications
High school diploma or technical college.
Proven experience working as a bike rider and messenger
Sound knowledge of road safety regulations.
The ability to work well under pressure.
The ability to use GPS devices.
Strong problem-solving skills.
