The Procurement Specialist, ARO has operational responsibility for procurement of goods and services for ARO in a manner that ensures transparency, compliance and efficacy of processes. The role holder will also be responsible in managing complex sourcing activities and supporting procurement transformation/capacity building initiatives in Asia Regional Office.



The incumbent will also be responsible for supporting the development and execution of global and regional sourcing strategies and ensuring efficiency and effectiveness of the Regional Procurement Unit in processing and providing technical assistance for international procurement transactions for ARO.



The role will be responsible for delivering procurement efficiency and cost savings through the delivery of annual financial benefit targets, other procurement KPI’s and adoption of Save the Children’s Source to Pay system (ProSave).



The incumbent may also be presented the opportunity to support CO’s in Asia in the form of short-term deployments focused on providing emergency procurement support.





Key Responsibilities



Strategic and operational procurement for ARO:

Sourcing Pipeline Planning and Execution.
Conduct complex sourcing activities.
Capacity Building and Procurement Guidance.
Function as Procurement SME.


KPI Management, Cost efficiency and Financial benefits.

Assist in the capturing and execution of ARO KPI improvement plans.
Ensure capture and reporting of financial benefits in ARO.


Procurement Systems Adoption and Performance:

Support ARO in the adoption of source to pay as part of day to day procurement activities.
Prosave Champion to ARO: expertise on all aspects of the Procurement System and Procurement Procedure
Communication: conduct various communication initiatives to raise awareness, best practices, benefits, and potential design changes, of the Source to Pay solution
Reporting & Analytics: run reports to identify and prioritize areas for improvement and mitigating actions, to be deployed in coordination with local Procurement functions.
Help with continuous improvement of the Source to Pay solution from a design perspective to keep alignment with Procurement procedures evolutions


Emergency Procurement

Provide operational and functional support to the Asia Sub Regional Office (ASRO) as needed.
Provide adhoc support to CO’s for Emergency Procurement needs.
