Job Title: SENIOR MAINTENANCE PLANNER
Direct supervisor: Maintenance & Engineering Manager
ROLE OVERVIEW:
We are seeking a Senior Maintenance Planner to join our team in Goulamina . The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing preventative maintenance programs, managing equipment repair schedules, and ensuring that maintenance activities are carried out in a timely and cost-effective manner. The Senior Maintenance Planner will work closely with the Maintenance & Engineering Manager to ensure that all maintenance activities are aligned with the overall business objectives and in compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Establish, review, and provide continuous improvement to maintenance planning procedures and processes for Goulamina site and remote operations.
Establish and maintain a maintenance history for all site plant equipment and associated infrastructure required to support site operations.
Establish and monitor planned maintenance schedules for plant and equipment including - prioritising originator work requests, issuing of prioritised work orders, coordinating, and holding scheduled planning meetings (weekly, shutdown and project) including ensuring attendance of stakeholders and relevant resource providers.
Develop and maintain computer-based ERP scheduling systems.
Scheduling and liaising with maintenance contractors to meet the projects’ desired objectives ensuring alignment with planning targets.
Ensure the availability of adequate supplies of parts and materials to meet planned maintenance requirements schedules and project outcomes.
Engage with warehouse and maintenance management to develop ANSI systems for stock and to assign stock min/max levels taking into consideration working capital impacts and item lead time.
Review, prioritise and schedule work orders.
Plan, organise, and monitor and report on planned shut-down maintenance activities.
QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, Mining Engineering, or related field
Strong communication, organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills
Hold a suitable trade qualification including a minimum of 5 years mining experience including proven planning and organizing experience.
Familiar with computerized ERP scheduling/planning systems (Pronto preferred) including Microsoft Project and or Primavera.
Excellent organizational, planning, and scheduling skills
Strong communication and interpersonal skills,
Knowledge of safety regulations and procedures in the mining industry
Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Strong experience is essential in Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint etc.)
Fluent in English
