Vacancy Announcement: Superintendent Geology

Position: Superintendent Geology

Location: Goulamina



Reporting Relationship: Mining Manager



Position Purpose:

The Superintendent Geology plays a pivotal role in overseeing all geological aspects, encompassing exploration during the pre-production period and operational functions at the Goulamina Lithium Project. As a senior professional, the incumbent will be responsible for mentoring junior geologists and collaborating with various teams.



Line Management Responsibilities:

- Co-ordination and management of Development and exploration field team

- Build grade control and geological services team

- Mine planning superintendent

- Mining Ops Superintendent

- Principal process metallurgist



Major Responsibility Areas:

Technical – Pre-production:

- Support current exploration activities with supervision of contractor operations and LMSA field team

- Supervise the LMSA Development and Exploration team, facilitating logistics, logging, sample preparation, transport, and lab analysis

- Support and supervise hydrogeological and geotechnical investigations

- Develop operational procedures and plans for grade control drilling, assaying, and face mapping for geotechnical and hydrogeological services

- Develop a framework for reporting daily, weekly, monthly, and annual timeframes of ore and grade reconciliation of plan versus actual







Technical – Operations:

- Build and maintain the grade control geological model for the Goulamina lithium resource and satellite deposits

- Management of the site drill hole database encompassing RC grade control, face mapping, and other exploration

- Liaise with drilling contractor on grade control and exploration drill programs

- Manage QAQC for all geology and assay lab processes for the site

- Develop a framework for blending plan and management of ROM and ore stockpiles

- Monthly and annual reconciliation of geological block model to actuals

- Support and assist in the development of all mine planning and metallurgical processes to develop the Goulamina operations

- Prepare and submit all mineral resource reporting as necessary under Mali Mining Code

- Support Mineral Resource reporting requirements under the Australian Stock Exchange (ASX) Listing Rules



Corporate Responsibilities:



- Ensure all legislative, regulatory, and statutory obligations are met

- Provide reports suitable for executive and board distribution

- Conform to company policy and protocols and ensure compliance with all statutory and company obligations

- Undertake any other responsibilities as reasonably required



Qualifications, Experience, Skills, and Knowledge:



- Bac + 4 of Science or Applied Science specializing in Geology

- Minimum Five (5) years experience in hard rock open pit operations

- Experience supervising geology teams

- Understanding and experience with resource modeling

- Experience and familiarization with Geovia products (Surpac) and Leapfrog will be highly regarded

- Demonstrated commitment to safe work processes

- Fully proficient in both French and English
