• Provided key research support to the Division’s manager and chief health analysts, particularly with regards to conducting literature reviews, data analysis, policy reviews for concept notes and working papers, policy briefs, talking points;
• Planned, supervised and evaluated various health projects: maternal and child health, health infrastructure,
• Created communication documents for the roll out of Nutrition accountability scorecard of the African Leaders for Nutrition
• Integrated nutrition into water and sanitation project, and also in breeding and fishing projects
• Developed a matrix to track country-level needs of regional member countries and ensure evidence-based decision making in health projects for the Division.
• Banking on Nutrition (BoN) partnership was established in May 2016 in partnership with the Big Win Philanthropy and the Aliko Dangote Foundation. The BoN aims to strengthen the Bank’s in-house capacity on nutrition and to provide technical support to integrate nutrition in the Bank’s operations and strategies. I was the focal point in the interaction with the different partners and the monitoring of the different activities.
• Member of COVID-19 emergency aid project teams: G5 Sahel, Senegal, Economic and Monetary Community of Central Africa, Burkina Faso, Central African Republic, Gabon, Cameroon;
• Supported the development of the project appraisal report for the Expanded Program on Neglected Tropical Diseases. The Bank contributed UA 15 million to the African Program for Onchocerciasis Control (APOC). The project is a public private partnership funded by about 20 donors, Non-Governmental organization and government contribution. The executing agency is WHO and the fiscal agent is the World Bank.
