A.P. Maersk Cameroon is looking for a candidate to take up the role of an Export planner CMR in Douala. This position would involve taking responsibility for the successful execution of export cargo loading through coordination with internal and external stakeholders.
The position holder will be in charge of completing formalities and ensuring proper cargo and assets dispatching to eliminate wastes and deliver customer promise.

Main Responsibilities:
Attend the daily departmental operations briefing to understand the daily/weekly priorities whilst maintaining a constant focus on process improvement.
Plan accordingly and timely all Export container, Export bulk and CSF Shipments with relevant stakeholders
Ensure that the planning system is updated timely and accurately to reflect daily business activities.
Responsible for ensuring a cost-efficient preparation and execution of the daily transport plan.
Work closely with vendors, customer service and CHB teams to achieve customer satisfaction through pro-active resolution of any unscheduled delays.
Focal point of interface between internal stakeholders (CX Team + CHB) with vendors
Building and maintaining a strong working relationship with the equipment (empties containers ) management team
Request terminal invoices once files validated by CHB team or by the customer’s forwarder (CFS), and ensure timely payment follow up.
Verify payment of Customs duty and terminal charges then proceed to obtain CAMCIS Codes and Gate pass
Follow up for shipping lines invoices upon reception of loading and discharge confirmations. Follow up as well with timely payments
Request for OBLs printing, collect them and release them to the client
Responsible to plan export positioning by providing to the transporter the booking confirmation, release order and management of container seals.
Send a Pre-alert to DPWS for export & import shipments
Requests for cash, pay invoices and collect justifications at the end.
Key Requirements:
2-3 years of experience in logistics.
Experience in logistic operation management is an Advantage.
Conversational English and Fluent French is a Must.
Educational background in logistics is an advantage.
Good knowledge of MS package.
Good understanding of import and export procedures is an Advantage.
Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
Very organized and dynamic, Solution oriented, and Customer oriented.
Prioritization capabilities, Strong execution mindset, Continuous improvement and Analytical skills.
Understanding of the local market landscape.
Cost conscious and optimization skills.
