The United Nations World Food Programme (WFP) seeks individuals of the highest integrity and professionalism who share our humanitarian principles.

The United Nations World Food Programme is the world's largest humanitarian agency fighting hunger worldwide. The mission of WFP is to help the world achieve Zero Hunger in our lifetimes. Every day, WFP works worldwide to ensure that no child goes to bed hungry and that the poorest and most vulnerable, particularly women and children, can access the nutritious food they need.

The World Food Programme (WFP) is the United Nations frontline agency fighting hunger. WFP reaches more than 80 million people every day - delivering food assistance in emergencies and working with smallholder farmers, communities and governments to improve nutrition and build resilience.

The WFP Regional Bureau for Eastern and Central Africa (RBN) is based in Nairobi and provides strategic direction, technical guidance, resource mobilization and management support to WFP operations and activities in ten countries: Burundi, Djibouti, Eritrea, Ethiopia, Kenya, Rwanda, Somalia, Sudan, South Sudan and Uganda.

WFP’s Supply Chain Division has a responsibility to promote the use of market-based interventions through Cash-Based Transfers (CBT), in the effort to achieve in particular the sustainable development goals 2 (Zero hunger) and 17 (Revitalize the global partnership for sustainable development) by working with governments and NGOs, with suppliers and local communities, businesses and smallholder farmers with investment in local economies, markets and the private sector.
