Education: Engineer Degree or equivalent in Petroleum or equivalent (Mechanical, Project...)
Professional experience: 5 to 10 years in the O&G activity with knowledge in reservoir-well performance or drilling or field operations or project management.
Technical competencies, skills: HSE value integration, O&G experience and culture. Reliability, autonomy in work organization, well organized, rigor to produce validated results/information, sensitivity to innovation. Used to deliver analysis, synthesis, and demonstrated ability to present in a clear way his work. Very good knowledge of the communication tools and Data Base.
Behavioral competencies: Good communication skills in multicultural environment, diplomacy, networking and delivery through others. Capacity to adapt and manage various tasks of different natures in various configurations. Recognized synthesis and listening skills.
Other competencies: Proficient in English. Portuguese is an asset in the local environment

The employee shall perform his/her activities in compliance with the HSE Management System, aligned with One Maestro Principles and oriented to safeguard the integrity of people, bearing in mind to preserve the environment and resources by contributing to improve our energy efficiency and decarbonization of Company’s assets and reputation.
The IARA, Atapu ToR Surplus and GdM Planning & Development specialist is in charge of implementing the EP Strategy (Be responsible, be profitable, be sustainable) which has been translated to the following objectives.
- Be, for the IARA, Atapu ToR Surplus and GdM assets, internally and externally, the focal point in TotalEnergies for all matters related to Development (FPSO, subsea, wells planning), and to Operators Work Programs, budget and performance, including HSE.
- Participate to ARA, Atapu ToR Surplus and GdM workshops, sub-committees and committees, to ensure the monitoring of the assets as well as the required feedback and reporting. Be TotalEnergies representative in subcommittees as assigned by Management.
- Contribute, as per guidelines received from the Iara Asset Manager and the AM Director, to the definition of Key Levers of the OBO roadmap aiming at maximizing the value of the asset with a well-defined balance between objectives and effort to reach them. Then be the leader of levers work plan execution by the different entities involved (TotalEnergies E&P, HQs, others).
- In charge of ensuring technical validations of AFEs and Ballots submitted by the different Operators (liaising with Joint Venture, GSR, Commercial, and other entities as needed).
- Monitor and identify any discrepancies in the operator Key Performance Indicators (Production, GHG emissions, HSE, etc.), analyze the causes and recommend action plans for improvement. Ensure that Operators performances are consistent and aligned with TotalEnergies plans, strategy and risks.
- Participate to the Consortiums and TotalEnergies sole cost activities to contribute to the delivery of production targets on time and within budget. This includes the preparation and the leadership of the prioritized activities following the key levers approach.
The person holding this position is in charge of the daily follow up of ARA, Atapu ToR Surplus and GdM Assets which implies synthetic knowledge obtained through regular contacts with the technical Departments of the subsidiary (some of them located in OA Direction), as well as with the GEDI:
- Geosciences Department: to include the surface aspects (technical, schedule, risks ...) into their analysis to get realistic profiles, to help validating each proposed well/project and have a follow up vision of the reserves of the assets.
- Field Operations (if applicable for the field): to get a good knowledge of the producing capacities and specificities or limitations of the facilities installed or under construction and the Operating Strategy,
- D&C: to have a good knowledge of the planning aspects, costs, risks/opportunities to be considered in the development studies and or during the drilling or installation operations.
Development Strategy (interface, analysis, synthesis, solutions definition, validation process leader, Economics and Finance)
- Lead the preparation for IARA, Atapu ToR Surplus and GdM of the LTP, PRIME and Budget exercises.
- Analyze and prepare a synthetic comparison of the different exercises (LTP, Budget, RB, CF, PRIME/Reserves ....) and consortium committees and subcommittees. Prepare documents to illustrate this analysis and answer any question from Management on the evolution and on the historical justifications of the choices made.
- Liaise with Finance and Tax Departments to control good application of specific elements (Repetro, IFRS16, PIS/COFINS, ICMS ...) in the Costs and production reports.
- Lead the follow-up, with Cost Control Service, of the evolution of the consumption of the Budgets of IARA, Atapu ToR Surplus and GdM Assets and in the follow up of the yearly Work Program and Budget of the Assets and guarantee updated reporting to DIG.
Integrated Planning (forward looking, structured vision of complex Projects, synthesis)
- Provide inputs to the planning aspects of the AM Direction. Contribute, by gathering information on IARA, Atapu ToR Surplus and GdM Assets from the Operators (contract awards, operational milestones), to the Integrated Activity Planning (IAP) of the Affiliate. Liaise with the IAP team of the Affiliate to ensure the updated information is included.
- Keep the history of the operational planning (drilling, installation, projects) with the underlying explanations.
Studies and Projects (compliance with technical referential, organization, leadership, knowledge of Affiliate validation process)
- Ensure that the well productions, the costs (Capex, Opex, and Abandonment) and the schedules considered in the cost cards are in line with the actual information from the ongoing or just terminated projects.
- Asset Manager in preparation of dossiers for approval of investment / divestment decisions at ComDEV, CoVal, CoRisk and ComEx levels of the development Projects.
- Take in charge projects or studies launched to verify specific issues.
Documentation and Reporting
- Take an active part in the data Management of the AM activities: ensure that assets complete and updated data is provided by Operator, help structure the storage area, put in place a process to get systematically all documents to be saved (presentations, costs cards, budgets, etc.). Build a database with validated information on the assets (maps, wells, profiles, fiches asset).
- Keep an up-to-date version of the strategic internal documents of IARA, Atapu ToR Surplus and GdM Assets (cost cards, results of economics, TCM-OCM presentations, MoM and rationales).
- Deliver the necessary reports for the Management, the Partners and the Headquarters. In particular, prepare the ARA, Atapu ToR Surplus and GdM information of the weekly report of the AM Direction.
Contexte et environnement
Position holder is located in Rio de Janeiro, in subsidiary offices. The position requires developing significant transverse communication with other TotalEnergies entities, with Operators and with TOTAL HQ.
Accountabilities:
Lead the follow up of the development of the ARA, Atapu ToR Surplus and GdM Assets with a scrupulous respect of the Safety standards.
Focal point during the strategic exercises (LTP, Budget, Reserves) for the ARA, Atapu ToR Surplus and GdM Assets.
Generate validated technical information towards P&D Engineers and subsidiary management, in particular concerning Budget and Production.
Guaranty an exhaustive and clean technical database of OBO Assets activities.
