Are you ready to take charge as our Site Manager, and play a pivotal role in steering the success of our Warehousing and Distribution (WnD) operations?

As a key leader, you will have full accountability for the Profit & Loss (P&L) and overall operations of our Distribution Centre (DC), including overseeing the implementation of best-in-class safety practices and compliance ensuring Safe Warehouse Operations and Supply Storage-Safety.

Key Responsibilities:
Take ownership of the site's Profit & Loss (P&L) and ensure its financial performance.
Manage both existing and new customer relationships effectively.
Monitor and improve site performance, including cost and utilization optimization.
Identify opportunities for continuous improvement and asset optimization.
Develop investment proposals and follow through with their implementation.
Execute the Warehousing and Distribution (WnD) strategy for the site in alignment with the Area WnD Head.
Drive business development initiatives according to the overall strategy.
Collaborate with the Area Sales team to attract new customers and expand the business footprint.
Support the Area WnD Head in handling tender requirements.
Customize and localize products within the established framework.
Meet customer and company performance metrics, goals, and objectives.
Manage the day-to-day operations of the location.
Have accountability for shipping, receiving, storage, yard, or quality functions during assigned shifts.
Ensure the facility's equipment is used safely and efficiently.
Promote adherence to health, safety, security, and environmental regulations.
Ensure timely and accurate reporting, billing, and labor payrolls.
Analyze production errors and implement corrective actions on assigned shifts.
Manage subcontractors for WnD services at the location.
Drive compliance and regulatory adherence.
Administer leases and manage contracts effectively.
Uphold governance frameworks and procedures.
Facilitate training on products, solutions, and clients for the team.
Provide leadership in people and safety management.
Foster a team environment and demonstrate strong leadership skills.
Evaluate and mentor warehouse colleagues.
Cultivate a culture of being the best place to work and prioritize client satisfaction.

We’re looking for:
A dynamic leader with a passion and track record for strategic leadership, operational excellence, safety and people management within a Warehouse and Distribution environment.

The ideal candidate must:
Have at least 5 - 10 years working experience leading a site.
Have a minimum grade 12, preferably with a degree in Logistics, Supply Chain or Industrial Engineering
Industry expertise supply chain (freight forwarding, warehousing)
Extensive operational knowledge of Warehouse and Distribution, and warehouse management systems.
Knowledge of intricate design of the warehouse system.
Financial acumen – ability to read, interpret and act on P&L
An entrepreneurial and problem-solving mindset.
Stakeholder management & collaboration in a matrix
Strong customer centricity mindset.
