PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES

HEALTH SAFETY & ENVIRONMENTAL
Ensure compliance with HSSE policies and procedures, enforcing safe working practices and promoting a safe workplace for all warehouse related operations.
Contribute to maintaining a strong safety culture within APMT operations.

PERFORMANCE/OPERATIONAL
Enhance and promote best practice in Spare Parts Inventory data management by ensuring that the right knowledge is available throughout the Terminals’ Warehouse and Inventory global community.
Drive standardization through implementing standard global processes, global data and one way of working in IFS 10.
Support developing improvements in standard global process.
Align local maintenance plans with the global inventory planning.
Drive an active process improvement community in cooperation with the Lean Academy and People Skills initiatives to sustain and develop the use of global standard processes.
Support as technical advisor using facts and data to back up decisions.
Ensure APMT procurement policies are followed.

STRATEGY
Contribute to the development and achievement of APMT short, middle and long-term objectives.
Develop and implement a standard way of working within Asset Maintenance.

RESOURCE MANAGEMENT
Promote the utilization of the APMT Global Asset Maintenance team to the benefit of all Terminals.
Involve and leverage the skills and knowledge of the Global Asset Maintenance, Asset Engineering, Procurement and Master Data communities.

PEOPLE/COMMUNICATIONS
Ensure clear communication with both internal and external clients.
Build collaborative relationships with associated divisions and external parties.
Build a strong global process community to have a large expert group that is available to support in global and local challenges.
Feedback and sharing learning with global Asset Maintenance team, and sub-teams.
Ensure compliance with APMT Group values and business principles.

COST MANAGEMENT
Manage time, cost and materials during the implementation project.
Drive cost leadership through standardization.

REPORTING AND SCOPE
The position reports to the Global Spare Parts Life Cycle Manger.
APMT is a large multi-cultural, matrix company and so the expectation is you will work in many cross country, cross functional teams.
The entire scope and sphere of influence is towards end-to-end Spare Parts Supply Chain management optimization, reducing financial exposure, maximizing equipment operational uptime, driving competitive ‘Total Cost of Ownership’ and increasing ROIC.

WORK/BUSINESS CONTACTS AND AUTHORITY

Internal:
- Global Warehouse and Inventory Team

- GSC Master data management team (Pune)

- Local terminal warehouse and inventory teams, including both operation and JV sites

- Local Asset Maintenance Teams, planners, equipment engineers and reliability specialists

- Global Technical Engineering teams, including equipment design engineers, TCS

- Global Category management

External:
- OEM Suppliers and sub-suppliers

- OEM Project teams

- Best in class organizations for learning opportunities

CRITICAL QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS/EXPERIENCE
University degree in Engineering, or similar equivalent.
Minimum 5 years’ experience in an asset-heavy industry, working with BOM’s, EBOM’s and spare parts.
Minimum 5 years of international experience working for or with OEM’s.
Experience in a strong service oriented, stakeholder-management-required environment.
Practical, analytical skillset and mindset.
Structured, process driven, but outside the box thinking.
Understanding of M&R, MRO principles, its processes and requirements.
Capable of motivating and influencing remote teams and individuals in order to achieve success, especially cross functional, cross-matrix organizations, with non-direct accountabilities.
Understanding of operational drivers and human factors and ability to act on improvements and spread of best practice.
Structured, driven, self-motivating and result orientated.
Highly disciplined – following through on actions and ensuring necessary documentation.
High quality awareness and ability to work with constant care.
Sensitive to cultural diversity and experience in a multicultural environment, with respect to employees, local authorities and other stakeholders.
Strong communication skills and ability to influence.
Excellent written English and verbal communication.
