ORGANIZATIONAL CONTEXT AND JOB PURPOSE
Under the direction of the Activity Manger (Capacity Strengthening) and working closely with the graphic designer to provide support to the Deputy country Director (DCD), Head of Programme, Head of Partnership as well as other activity managers, the intern will assist WFP Ethiopia on developing a set of clear, high quality, innovative and visually appealing multi-media materials and packages, targeting WFP's key audiences, including donors, partners, government and beneficiaries.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES (not all-inclusive)
• Ensure highest broadcast quality of videography: minimum HD 1920x1080 or better;
• Ensure that all requests and instructions pertaining to videography and video-editing requirements are fulfilled;
• Ensure that all required videography/video-editing jobs are completed on deadline;
• Ensure that correct video formats are used as requested;
• Ensure that videos produced for use on social media follows the specifications required by the WFP guidelines;
• Work with the highest professional ethical standards and in keeping with WFP’s and the UN’s core messages.
• Provide motion graphics, UI/UX and graphic design as additional support to the organization.
• Condense long videos into short impactful clips to be used on different platforms for staff and CP training and as awareness raising pieces on WFP activities

STANDARD MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Education:

Diploma or equivalent in film & digital media, has demonstratable knowledge of Motion Graphics, Video production, Video post-production, Photography, Graphic Design, Software Proficiency, Project Management and a high standard portfolio, showing creative solutions and attention to detail.
Has demonstrated a sound understanding of WFP communication techniques and activities and awareness of the socio-political context in which WFP operates through day-to-day work.
Ability to work with a high level of independence, as part of a large, dynamic and diverse team, and to establish effective working relationships with persons of different nationalities and cultural backgrounds
Flexibility in accepting work assignments outside normal desk description.

Competencies:

Proficiency in using Adobe InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, After effect, Premiere pro and Lightroom, MS Office and other publishing software on Mac and Windows hardware..
Language:
Fluency in both oral and written communication in English. Knowledge of the local language is an added advantage.​
