As a trusted Strategic HR business leader, you will be a member of the Ocean Customer Logistics Leadership (OCL) team and partner closely with OCL leaders for Africa to build world-class capability to drive the transformation and our Transported by Maersk Strategy. You will have a unique opportunity to strengthen our business by ensuring the right people agenda, driving the right organisational design, building Engagement, developing Talent, being an Advocate for Diversity, Equity and Inclusion, identifying future fit Capabilities and Skills and developing Leaders and a customer centric culture.
In addition, you will be part of the Global OCL HR leadership team and Africa HR Leadership team building and driving the People infrastructure to “Nurture a knowledge driven organisation, capable of executing reliably, made effective by the power of empathy.”

Key Responsibilities:
Translating business strategies into people strategies and action plans, identifying and closing capability gaps, optimizing organisational structure for performance, supporting global and regional OCL priorities and projects into local plans to achieve high engagement.
Driving cultural change and talent management in partnership with leaders to achieve organisational effectiveness, advising on short and long-term talent strategy and ensuring succession pipeline; fostering a culture of high performance.
Coaching and advising senior leaders, diagnosing people and business challenges and supporting leadership discussions around development, organization structure and design.
Participate in global OCL HR initiatives and projects, ensuring that the people perspective and agenda are woven into our strategy.
Act as an ambassador for our employees and commit to ensuring the delivery of an exceptional employee experience.
Ambassador of Maersk supporting Talent Attraction regionally and locally.
Partnering with our business to unleash the talent of our organization, attract and retain knowledge and enable a customer centric culture.
Being an active leadership coach for senior leaders to enable their own personal transformation and bringing our purpose and leadership behaviours to life.
Strengthening the OCL talent bench and ensuring progress our talent and succession planning efforts across the Africa region.
Understanding our business, customers, and markets to enable success through the organizations.
Support leaders in building high performing teams that are prepared for the future needs of the OCL organisation, promoting a high-performance culture and addressing performance improvement needs within their teams.
Identify the capability and competency gaps in OCL in collaboration with the People Partnering organization and the COEs and through Strategic Workforce Planning and People Data.
Partner with the senior leaders to build an engaging working environment across the function.
Drive the succession planning of key positions and long-term talent development in the respective teams.
Support senior leaders through strategic parts of annual HR cycle and partner with People Partners and deployment teams on support needed for annual HR cycle implementation across the function.
Proactively drive a culture of collaboration and sharing across the HRBP community.
Key requirements for the role:
Proven track record of strategic HR partnering with senior leaders within a global matrix organisation. You have strong experience as an HR Business Partner, utilising a hefty HR toolbox to set and drive a strategic people agenda, preferably with a global or regional scope.
Strong business acumen and an interest to learn more about Maersk Ocean and Logistics business.
You are comfortable working in international environments with constant change and you have a solid understanding of business dynamics and how HR can support the same.
Excellence in influencing senior stakeholders, conceptualising and shaping strategies, challenging perceptions and expanding points of view while acting as the trusted advisor and courageous advocate.
Resilience and maturity in dealing with change/uncertainty and delivering results in challenging environments.
University level of Education with advanced masters’ level advantageous and strong track record of supporting learning and development interventions completed.
Demonstrated leadership ability to work in a matrix team environment where collaboration is key for our business success.
Able to create a culture of performance and continuous improvement throughout the organization while being a change agent.
Strength in the following HR capabilities: Building Trust, Delivery Results, DEI advocate, leadership and team development, coaching, facilitation and have high levels of learning agility.
